DNA of NLGD Foundation
The NLGD Foundation is a European cross-disciplinary platform, the European hub to synergy, vision and inspiration in the games industry. The main goal of the NLGD Foundation is to stimulate the Dutch games industry and to position this industry internationally. In order to accomplish this, the NLGD Foundation offers room to all disciplines within the games industry that work either directly or indirectly with serious- or entertainment games. Included herein are publishers, developer, but also research organizations, educational institutions and trade and industry. Another goal of the NLGD Foundation is therefore to bring together various perspectives on games. With its activities the NLGD Foundation attracts visitors from all over the world. The NLGD Foundation wants to be leading by disseminating its vision, by creating synergy and by inspiring.
Disseminating vision
The NLGD Foundation has as its point of interest the development and dissemination of a leading integral vision on the current and future trends in games, and games in relations to the world. Dissemination of vision is done through, amongst others, theme choices, choice of activities and the choice in partners and speakers. Participants in NLGD Foundation activities will go home with a renewed vision on their own future activities.
Creating Synergy
Creating synergy is done by bringing together people involved in different aspects of the industry and to facilitate active cooperation and the sharing of knowledge. Through this, new knowledge, innovative perception and new perspectives are formed. Participants in NLGD Foundation activities will go home with an enriched knowledge and broadened views.
To Inspire
Inspiration originates where people are surprised, incited and enriched. The NLGD Foundation activities incite the mind and the senses. Participants in activities are filled with innovative ideas that they can implement within their own in the year to come. The NLGD Foundation wants that people go home dancing with inspiration and filled with renewed energy.

The Festival of Games is one of the largest professional game festivals in Europe; it sets the stage for the fast growing European game development market.
The Festival of Games consists of a main thought leader conference, workshops, a professional expo with a career fair and a serious connection. The event is a platform and a meeting point for the European games community. The festival harnesses Europe's creative power and gives an insight in the unique European approach. Industry, academic and business leaders share and combine their opinions and visions.
The Festival also targets the general public with events like a large urban game in the city of Utrecht, Europe’s rising game development hub. Together with participants and spectators we will celebrate game culture like never before.
