Ronald Lenz (1974) - is a strategist, technologist and researcher in the field of location-based mobile technologies exploring how new mobile interactive formats, such as urban gaming and storytelling, can create new user experiences for education, culture, tourism and events. Currently Ronald heads the research department on Locative Media at Dutch medialab Waag Society (www.waag.org) and is creative director at 7scenes (www.7scenes.com), a startup developing a mobile and online platform that makes it easy to create, play and share GPS games and tours. The making of... (what it takes to make an urban game or ARG)
In this session you will get a look behind the scenes of several success stories from the urban game and ARG field. We’ll have a succession of three speakers on stage who will each present a short ‘making of’, loaded with war stories, practical examples and helpful insights. After each talk you’ll have ample time to ask the speaker any questions you may have. This session is a unique opportunity to get some inside information on how to create a successful urban game or ARG.
