Ard‘s track record ranges from hardcore, traditional games to heartwarming casual entertainment. As a designer at Davilex and Playlogic he was known for his resourcefulness and creativity as well as a critical and demanding designer. Ard is able to balance innovation and creativity on the one hand, and budget and deadlines on the other. Xyanide Resurrection and the Brutal Fairytale Fights are only two of the titles he created before going over to RealGames as a producer. He has also been an enthousiastic lecturer in Game design at the Utrecht School of the arts for several years. After being Head of Productions at Virtual Fairground he is now back at GameHouse Studios as Director of Studio and was involved in creating hit games such as Campfire Legends and Delicious – Emily’s Taste of Fame. Ard holds a Master degree in Interaction Design and is always keen to analyze user behavior and to optimize game experiences.

Adam Boyes is the founder of Beefy Media and the former director of Production at Capcom USA. Adam is a video game developer who started off in the industry as a tester for Electronic Arts. After that he started working at Midway. There, he worked as an executive producer on the MLB Slugfest: Loaded and the NHL Hitz: Pro titles. Adam would eventually go on to work on Blitz: The League which proved to be a successful title for the company with over 1.5 million units sold. Adam has alreeds been credited in 28 games.

Joost van Dongen

Joost van Dongen is co-founder and lead programmer at Ronimo Games, a young development studio in Utrecht that focusses on console downloadable games. At Ronimo he worked on the side-scrolling real-time strategy game for the Nintendo Wii called Swords & Soldiers, which won two awards at the Dutch Game Awards.
When still a student, Joost worked on De Blob, a free-roaming-painting-colouring-platforming-extravaganza that won a Student Showcase Award at the Independent Games Festival and was sold to THQ, which developed a new version for the Nintendo Wii. THQ recently announced more games, a cartoon-series and action figures for De Blob!
Joost has taught several courses in game development at the Utrecht School of the Arts and the Hogeschool Utrecht. In his spare time, he is working on Proun, a weird little abstract racing game for PC and Mac.

Jeroen Elfferich

Jeroen Elfferich is founder and CEO at Ex Machina, an independent Amsterdam-based company that enables multiplayer gaming on the internet and mobile devices. Jeroen's passion is extending the social context of technology and believes multiplayer mobile gaming is its cutting edge.
After studying Artificial Intelligence as well as Sociology at the University of Amsterdam, Jeroen founded NetlinQ in 1996, where he held the position of CTO. NetlinQ grew to become the largest web consulting and technology firm in The Netherlands with 200 employees and was acquired in 2000 by Framfab. NetlinQ nurtured a number of spin-off companies, including Ex Machina.
Ex Machina has since powered millions of live multiplayer game sessions. Deus+, Ex Machina's connected gaming platform, was turned into an SDK in 2003 and is currently used by over 30 mobile game developers in three continents as well as leading mobile operators.
Jeroen helped to start the MMBase Foundation and is part of the Liberty Alliance Gaming Services Subteam. Jeroen has been chair and speaker at numerous conferences covering multiplayer mobile games and contributed to various academic research projects.

Prior to gamigo Ralph studied Business Administration and worked as a management consultant for CSC. Toru Iwatani
Professor Iwatani, inventor of Pac-Man

Toru Iwatani (1955) is the creator of Pac-Man. His keynote speech will open the the Game Conference during this year's NLGD Festival of Games in The Netherlands.
Iwatani was born in the Meguro ward of Tokyo, Japan. He joined the computer software company Namco in 1977, where he started his career in the video game business. Pac-Man's story is filled with highpoints. It took more than a year after release before the public began to notice the yellow partly-eaten Pizza, but after that, there was no stopping him. Pac-Man is mentioned eight times in the Guinness Book of Records. It is the highest grossing arcade game of all time. Pac-Man became a cultural phenomenon. His image decorates countless products, from t-shirts to Pac-Man shaped book cases. The pill-addicted hero stayed popular in the past three decades, and over thirty spin-off games where released.

Ian livingstone is life president of eidos and one of the uk’s founding fathers of interactive games and fiction. in 1975 he founded games workshop with steve jackson and launched dungeons & dragons in europe. in 1977 he launched white dwarf, the uk’s first interactive games magazine. in 1982, again with steve jackson, he wrote the warlock of firetop mountain, the first in the fighting fantasy series of interactive gamebooks that sold over 16 million copies in 23 languages. he wrote more than 20 books in the series. he served as executive chairman of eidos plc from 1995 until 2002. at eidos he helped to secure many of the company's major franchises including lara croft: Tomb Raider and Hitman. He is the Non-Executive Chairman of Bright Things plc, Non-Executive Director of ELSPA, Chair of Skillset’s Computer Games Skills Council, Vice Chair of the BAFTA Games Committee and an advisor to the British Council. He was awarded an OBE, a BAFTA Special Award and an Honorary Doctorate of Technology for his contribution to the UK computer games industry.

In 2004, he was awarded the "First Penguin" award by the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) for his innovative contributions to the video game industry.

Marco Priewe is the Managing Director of Atlas Interactive Deutschland GmbH and Sales Director for access and billing solutions for the global Atlas Interactive Group of Companies.
Marco Priewe, born in 1969, started his professional career after graduating from university in 1992 as Branch Manager for the international trading company Behn Meyer in Medan, Indonesia. From March 1996 until October 2003 Marco Priewe has been Chief Executive Officer of INA Germany AG. He joined Atlas Interactive in November 2003.
Furthermore, Marco Priewe was one of the founding members of the FST (the German Association for the Voluntary Self-Monitoring of Value-Added Telephone Services). He was Deputy Manager of the grievance board of the FST from 1998 to 2000 and has been elected as a Member of the Executive Board in October 2000, which he is still today.
Marco Priewe has been leading the German office of ATLAS Interactive for 7 years, and has been serving the gaming industry by providing micro payment solutions since then. Among the reference customers are market leaders such as Bigpoint, Travian, Gameforge, Upjers, Panfu, Innogames, Intenium, XS SOftware, Blizzard Entertainment and many more.

It's time for the games industry to give back. Martin de Ronde gained worldwide support for his charity initiative OneBigGame. He will talk about the future of OneBigGame and it's many unique games.
Martin de Ronde started working in the games industry over 15 years ago as a PR manager and later as development manager in publishing. He founded his own development studio in 1998, which he sold to multimedia conglomerate Lost Boys a year later. Here, De Ronde became co-founder and managing director of Lost Boys Games, the company’s newly setup games division. Lost Boys games went independent in 2001 and was renamed Guerrilla Games. As commercial director De Ronde witnessed the birth of PlayStation 2 hit Killzone. In 2006 he departed and founded OneBigGame, where he is responsible for for general management as well as business development. Besides OneBigGame, Martin runs casual MMO publisher Karami games, a new start-up in the field of browser based games.

Corey Rosemond is a 16 year game industry veteran whom throughout his career has been responsible for driving the continued development of Windows as a gaming platform as well as the initial justification for the creation of the DirectX SDK for Game Development in various roles at Microsoft Corporation. Corey also has served on the board of the PC Gaming Alliance and is a member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences.
Outside of Microsoft Corey has worked at both HP and Dell in Gaming specific Marketing and Business Development roles. At HP he headed HP’s Gaming software and services group where he lead the design, launch and growth of the HP Game Console, one of the largest online PC Gaming marketplaces worldwide with over 50 million customers in over 32 countries. At Dell he was responsible for the positioning of the first Dell Dimension XPS as a gaming PC and for closing some of the first online sales of PC Games at Dell.com.
Corey graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where he received a Master’s of Business Administration degree in Information Systems and Marketing and Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He is an avid Gamer who enjoys both hardcore and casual games and when he’s offline enjoys snowboarding and watching his favorite team, the New Orleans Saints.

Before joining Sony, he was Usability Research Manager at Orange (a European mobile network provider), testing their mobile software, websites and services. He began his career working for the French Air Force on Unmanned Aircraft Vehicle interfaces and the dynamics of communication between pilots and copilots. David has taught at a number of French universities (Paris, Nice, Nancy) and given talks at national and international conferences (GDC, Usability Professionals Association, etc.).

Prior to joining Monster, she created the online presence for Cirque Du Soleil, a project critically acclaimed both by the public and the business community for its creative content and ability to generate online business. Following her success at Cirque she worked for CDPQ, Canada´s largest money manager, before launching her own consultancy in internet marketing strategies for clients such as communication giant BCE (Bell Canada Enterprises), the National Bank to name a few. Rikke is originally from Denmark from where she has her educational background in the field of business administration and economics.

The company recently changed its business model entirely into Free-to-play, something that their VP Alan Yu has talked about previously. Before co-founding ngmoco:) Yu was executive producer for the biggest game developers conference in the world, the GDC, and held several directors positions at EA.
